Our Community School is a 30-minute EdNC documentary highlighting the story of P.W. Moore Elementary and the impact of the community school model on students, families, and the Elizabeth City-Pasquotank community.

As a major winter storm approaches Elizabeth City, ECPPS mobilized quickly to support students and families by providing four free boxed meals to all 4,800 students and ensuring access to learning resources in the event of extended school closures. School nutrition staff, educators, and technology teams worked around the clock to prepare meals, distribute devices, and send home instructional materials. This coordinated effort reflects the essential role public schools play in caring for and supporting their communities—especially during times of uncertainty.
The ECPPS Board of Education will hold a special called meeting on January 20, 2026, to approve contracts for Pre-K renovation.
